Beginner Crochet Video

The word Crochet is derived from croc or croche, which means hook in Middle French. Accurately the history can not be narrated, but the earliest signs and references of crochet in Europe were in 1800s.

Some claim that in China, Middle East and Arabia were amongst the first ones that created crochet. Most of the people agree on a myth that it was derived from knitting or it is knitting with a hook. The Victorian era was significantly characterized with vibrant crochet patterns. Bright bold colors were replaced by pale pastels, white and off white during the new Edwardian era.

Crochet is one of those historic crafts which have developed more advancement in techniques and patterns instead of losing its roots.

Technology has made distances shorter, life has become better. These days, it doesn’t matter whether you can have classes for learning crafts or not.

Learning is fun now. You can sit in your home, with a cup of coffee and hand full of nuts, beside your heater and can have online class. So is the case with crochet. You can even have freeform crochet dvd, crochet video tutorials and even beginner crochet free videos. Now “how” seems a very unimportant word for knowledge seekers.

Apart from books, publications, dvd, iPod casts; you can even get free e books, articles, videos and files while you sit in your couch.

Just enter beginner crochet videos in any search engine and you’ll come across a long list of available websites. Few are even listed here. My favorite one, which I recommend the most for its free content, is You Tube.

On You Tube, you can get more than 1000 videos available. You can learn from basic stitches to amigurumi crochet, from fabric crochet to crochet flowers, from hats to ponchos. You can look for almost everything over there. All you need is to keep your eyes and ear open when learning from a video. Just see it once thoroughly and then start making one while watching the video.

A few sites do not offer free content, but they provide excellent video tutorials. You need to pay a very little registration fees. A few sites offer complete crochet courses including text, pictures, patterns, kits, videos and may be iPod casts. Try visiting the following sites for few free videos. Happy crocheting!!!!
